COVID-19 POLICY

Systems Innovation by LMG (LMGSI) strives to provide a safe and healthy workplace for all employees, customers and office visitors. This COVID-19 policy outlines specific steps LMGSI takes to safeguard employees’ health and well-being during an outbreak while ensuring LMGSI’s ability to maintain essential operations and continue providing essential services to our customers.

LMGSI partners with local, state, and federal emergency-response and health agencies to ensure legal compliance with emergency-response protocols to which LMGSI is subject and to coordinate efforts to maintain safety and security in and outside the workplace.

As of May 4, 2020, in accordance with statewide procedures, the Orlando office was opened, and LMGSI returned to work following Phase 1 guidelines. We will be following safety procedures for Phase 1, 2 and 3, and the steps we are taking to protect our employees and customers are outlined below. As each of our offices come out from under a stay-at-home or shelter-in-place order, they will follow these best practices for a safe return with any necessary modifications to meet local government mandated guidelines.

 

WORKPLACE INFECTION CONTROL MEASURES

 

LMGSI takes a number of steps to minimize exposure to and spread of infection in the workplace. As appropriate, LMGSI recommends measures that employees can take to protect themselves outside the workplace and encourages all workers to discuss their specific needs with a family physician or other appropriate health or wellness professional.

 

Employee Health Concerns:
LMGSI expects employees who contract the flu or have been exposed to infected family members or others with whom employees have been in contact to stay home and seek medical attention as necessary and appropriate. LMGSI expects such workers to notify us as soon as possible of exposure or illness by reaching out to their supervisor. At our discretion or the direction of outside authorities, we can require the isolation and quarantine in our on-site clinic of any infected employees who come to work despite exposure or need for medical attention.

 

COVID-19 Training:
All employees are at risk of exposure to flu viruses, both in and outside the workplace; therefore, LMGSI provides information regarding best hygiene practices and prevention measures to employees through various mediums.

 

Temperature Checking:
We have implemented a systemic temperature check for all employees reporting to work as well as building visitors using an infrared contactless thermometer. Once a person clears the temperature check, they are handed a wrist band that they are required to wear at all times.

 

Personal Protection Equipment:
LMGSI maintains on-site adequate supplies of recommended personal protection equipment, such as masks, rubber gloves, anti-bacterial hand gels and wipes, and disinfectant sprays, which LMGSI can require workers to use. All employees are required to wear masks while in the office. We urge all employees to speak with their personal physician about types and proper use of personal protection equipment in the home.

 

Social Distancing:
We are requiring a 25% capacity limit in each office space and have implemented additional 6’ social distancing measures.

 

Facilities Maintenance:
LMGSI has implemented enhanced sanitization and disinfection measures. LMGSI’s Facilities staff coordinate closely with LMGSI’s cleaning and waste-removal contractors to maintain our offices in top condition. LMGSI approves the installation or use wherever possible of improved equipment or cleaning methods to guard against the spread of infection in the workplace.

 

 

REMOTE WORK LOCATIONS

 

LMGSI acknowledges that during a COVID-19 outbreak, local, state, or federal authorities might prohibit or severely curtail individuals’ access to and use of public services and public transportation; close or prevent access to buildings or public highways; isolate or quarantine buildings’ occupants; and prevent inter- or intrastate delivery of goods and services. We cannot predict and have no control over such authorities’ actions and acknowledge our legal duty to comply with outside authorities’ directives.

We are prepared to continue key operations from a number of remote work locations, including essential employees’ home offices. All remote work locations are equipped with all the equipment necessary for off-site telecommuting operations.

LMGSI is committed to the safety of our customers. Our employees are currently working on a number of active project sites and are adhering to or exceeding project-specific PPE and health safety requirements to ensure the health and well-being of all.
